Aitch Eliminated From I’m A Celebrity Ahead of Final as Ginge, Shona McGarty and Tom Read Wilson Move Forward
Rapper Aitch has been voted out of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in a surprise elimination, leaving Angry Ginge, Shona McGarty and Tom Read Wilson to compete in Monday night’s final.
The 25-year-old musician, whose real name is Harrison Armstrong, had been the bookmakers’ top pick to win the competition. His exit, announced on Sunday’s episode, came less than 24 hours after one of the series’ most emotional moments — his reunion with his sisters Gracie and Hattie.
Aitch entered the show with the goal of raising awareness for Down syndrome, a condition his younger sister Gracie lives with, and his family visit resonated widely with viewers.
Finalists Confirmed
The three remaining contestants now set to compete for the title are:
-
Angry Ginge (Morgan Burtwistle), 24
-
Shona McGarty, 34
-
Tom Read Wilson, 39
Before leaving camp, Aitch completed the traditional Celebrity Cyclone challenge, which many fans expected to secure his place in the finale.
Emotional Reunion
Speaking to hosts Ant and Dec during his exit interview, Aitch said he was “gobsmacked” to see his sisters waiting for him.
“I genuinely thought they were fake. I had to touch them to make sure they were real,” he said, adding that the moment would stay with him and his family long after the series ends.
His sister Gracie told him, “We’ve missed you so much,” in a moment widely shared on social media.
Life Without Technology
Reflecting on his time in the jungle, the rapper said the experience offered a rare sense of clarity.
“It’s strange how peaceful it is with no phone and no distractions,” he said. “You focus on what’s right in front of you.”
The ‘Sweet-Gate’ Incident
Aitch also addressed the light-hearted “sweet-gate” controversy, which emerged after Kelly Brook revealed that she, Aitch and Ginge secretly ate a portion of the milk bottle sweets won during a challenge.
Laughing about the incident, Aitch said, “If you’re gonna snitch, go all the way.”
Who He Wants to Win
Although he developed strong friendships with all three finalists, Aitch said he is backing Ginge to win.
“I love Shona and I love Tom — they both deserve it. But the crown needs to come back to my hometown, so it’s got to be Ginge.”
No Romance in Camp
Speculation about a potential romance between Aitch and McGarty circulated throughout the series. Recently eliminated campmates, however, said there was no romantic involvement, despite the pair’s close friendship.
Career Momentum
Aitch’s appearance on the programme marks a notable shift further into mainstream entertainment. The rapper, who broke out in 2018 with Straight Rhymez, is already reported to be in talks with BoohooMAN for a possible £1 million fashion collaboration.
Final Episode Ahead
The competition concludes Monday night, when viewers will vote to crown the next King or Queen of the Jungle. Last year’s title was won by McFly’s Danny Jones, with Coleen Rooney finishing as runner-up.
For Aitch, his supporters say, the series offered something more meaningful than the trophy — a platform for raising awareness, reconnecting with family, and showing a new side of himself to the public.
