“I Generally Stink”: Charlotte Church’s Shock Confessions Don’t Stop There — As Singer Admits to Even More Unfiltered Habits
Charlotte Church has never been one to polish her image — and her latest confessions have only reinforced that reputation.
The former child prodigy, now 39, has once again raised eyebrows after openly admitting she no longer wears deodorant and “generally stinks,” before revealing a string of other unapologetically unfiltered habits that she says she has no intention of changing.
🧼 No Deodorant, No Shaving — No Apologies
Speaking candidly in recent interviews and podcast appearances, the Voice of an Angel singer explained that she has ditched deodorant entirely and stopped shaving altogether — a decision she made roughly 18 months to two years ago.
“I don’t wear any deodorant or anything,” Charlotte said matter-of-factly. “So yeah, I generally stink. And I don’t shave anymore — I don’t shave anything.”
She went on to explain that the choice stems from concerns about what she puts on her body rather than any desire to shock.
“The skin is the biggest organ,” she said. “Everything you put on it goes straight into your bloodstream. Under your arms especially — there’s lymph, receptors, all sorts going on. I just don’t feel great about clogging that up with chemicals.”
She was quick to stress that she isn’t judging anyone else’s choices.
“Each to their own,” she added. “Shave it, dye it, spray it — crack on. For me, I’m just like, ‘Nah.’”
🤢 Nose-Picking, Nail-Biting — and Enjoying It
This isn’t the first time Charlotte has spoken openly about habits most celebrities would rather hide.
In an earlier interview with The Guardian, she was asked to name her “most unappealing habit” — and didn’t hesitate.
“I pick my nose. I bite my nails,” she said cheerfully. “And I do it with great glee.”
She also admitted that procrastination is her most self-destructive trait and revealed she has a fondness for strong language, admitting the words she uses most often are “f**k” and “lush.”
👗 Hairy Legs, Heels — and Confusing People on Purpose
Rather than toning things down, Charlotte says she enjoys the contradiction her appearance creates.
“I love wearing beautiful dresses, heels and nails — with really hairy legs,” she said. “It completely confuses people, and I kind of love that.”
She added that leaning into those contrasts feels liberating, not rebellious.
“It’s about being comfortable in your own skin,” she explained. “However that looks.”
🍒 Why She Keeps Her ‘Boobs Out’
Charlotte has also addressed her penchant for plunging outfits — something she says is both practical and revealing in more ways than one.
“I’ve got my boobs out for the majority of the time,” she joked, explaining that her husband refers to it as the “Titmus Test.”
“It separates out the pervs immediately,” she said. “And it also weeds out people who are deeply conservative or deeply religious.”
“For me, it’s about discernment,” she added. “And honestly? It makes me feel much sexier.”
🌿 A Holistic Life — With Financial Struggles Behind the Scenes
In recent years, Charlotte has stepped away from mainstream pop stardom, focusing instead on holistic living and running a retreat through her company, The Dreaming Ltd, which offers experiences rooted in spirituality, wellness and what she has described as “ancient wisdom.”
However, the venture has faced financial difficulties. Public filings show the company has recorded losses annually and currently carries debts exceeding £800,000 — despite continued investment from businesses linked to her music and media work.
Once reported to have earned as much as £25 million during her career peak, Charlotte has previously acknowledged she is “not a millionaire anymore,” having scaled back her lifestyle in recent years.
👩👧👦 Family Life Away from the Spotlight
Charlotte shares children Ruby, 18, and Dexter, 16, with ex-partner Gavin Henson, and is also mother to four-year-old Frida with husband Jonathan Powell.
Despite public scrutiny, she has remained steadfastly herself — unfiltered, unconventional, and entirely unapologetic.
And judging by her latest confessions, Charlotte Church has no intention of changing that anytime soon.
